thankful. days 4-8.

"Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silnece the fow and the aenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human being that you care for them?" Psalm 8:1-4

day 4.

i am so very grateful for our family that came into town to help us celebrate Owen's second birthday. the day would have been wonderful regardless of who was there, but having family in from out of town, family to help us celebrate, and family to love on my little Owen made the day so overflowing with love and happiness.

day 5.

i am thankful for the time and opportunity to celebrate Owen's birthday. when there are so many little boys and girls who don't get a special day to celebrate themselves, i am grateful for the opportunity to shower my little love with well wishes and love. it might not seem like a big deal, a party, but it isn't the party that was special, it was the people in the room that helped us blow out the candles in celebration. we are so thankful for each and every family member and friend that was there!

day 6.

althought we have all come down with the stomach bug in the past 2 weeks, i am so thankful and grateful for our health. the food in our tummies that keep us full, our incredible doctors that keep us well or heal our bodies when we are sick, and access to the best healthcare possible.

day 7.

i am thankful for my job. i can't imagine myself being anywhere else than at home with my son and babies to come. i don't need fancy clothes, or a high-paying job to validate who i am in the corporate world. my world is my Heavenly Father and the family He has given me. He has also allowed me the opportunities to take care of that family full-time. and for that, no amount of thanks can be expressed.

day 8.

i am thankful for technology. and computers. and smart phones. i know it's silly, but when you don't live near any of your family, these tools allow is to stay close to our loved ones day in and day out.
